Ceramic Tiles

Ceramic or non-porcelain tiles are generally made from red or white clay fired in a kiln. Ceramic tiles are almost always finished with a durable glaze which carries the color and pattern. These ceramic tiles are used in both wall tile and floor tile applications, are softer and easier to cut than porcelain, and usually carry a PEI 0 to 3 rating. Non-porcelain ceramic tiles are usually suitable for very light to moderate traffic and are used as commercial ceramic tiles and generally have a relatively high water absorption rating making them less frost resistant. Ceramic tiles are more prone to wear and chipping than porcelain tiles.

We carry a huge selection of ceramic tiles from Porcelanosa, FAP, Fiandre, Iris and so on.

FAP Ceramic Tiles:
Fapp ceramic wall tilesItalian ceramic tiles are flat sheets made from a mixture of clay, sand and other natural materials formed into the desired shape and size and then fired at a high temperature. They come in various sizes and with thicknesses of between 3mm and 20mm. Thanks to advanced production technologies, they are available in an almost unlimited variety of sizes, colors surfaces and decorative effects.

Although highly diverse, FAP Italian tiles essentially perform three different functions;
1. Aesthetic
They are part of the interior design project along with the other finishing materials
2. Technical
They are able to withstand the stresses produced by the people who use the spaces without suffering damage or deterioration
3. Functional
They are hygienic and capable of effectively withstanding foot traffic, frost fire and the elements. New photovoltaic functions, although these are currently limited to a niche market.

Finadre Ceramic Tiles:
Fiandre wall tilesFiandre is making its entry into the future, in its "second" 50 years of history, following the natural evolution of this path with the launch of a new generation ceramic, both with the revolution represented by the eco-active materials Active Clean Air & Antibacterial Ceramic™, which enrich Fiandre slabs with bactericidal and anti-pollution characteristics, and with the creation of the Maximum collection, which focuses on a new extraordinary format, the largest ever made. With a generous surface area of 4.5 m2, each 300x150 cm slab is evidence of the evolution of a material that can now respond to the requirements of a design world that is constantly developing.
